University of Groningen exchange: semester program costs
The tables below give an overview of the costs of this program for Fall 2012. Table one lists costs payable to Geneseo; table two lists cost payable to 'Others'. If you have any questions about program costs, please stop by the Study Abroad Office. All costs are subject to change.
Table 1: Program Costs Payable to Geneseo (per semester)
Please note: tuition for the program is payable to the Student Accounts Office (of the student's home campus) and can be paid online. All other payments on table one are made to the Study Abroad Office. The Study Abroad Office is not accepting credit cards at this point in time.

Table 2: Program Costs Payable to 'Others' (per semester)
All costs on the table below are estimates.

| Resident Permit Fees | €600 | Students are required to get a Dutch Residents Permit for their stay in the Netherlands (this is essentially their 'visa' for the program). The University of Groningen's International Student Desk will contact students about the Resident Permit requirements after they have been accepted into the program. |
| Airfare | $1600 | Round trip to Amsterdam; students will have to take a train from Amsterdam Schipol Airport to Groningen. |
| Accommodation | $2500 | Students will apply for accommodations after they have been accepted into the program. The amount listed is estimated; a range of housing costs are available depending on which international student house the student would like to live in. |
| Food | $1600 | No meal plans provided; estimate for personal food expenditures. |
| Spatial Problems and Spatial Policies Course Fee | $150 | This fee pertains to students who wish to take the 'Spatial Problems and Spatial Policies' course offered specifically for exchange students through the Faculty of Spatial Sciences. This course is required for students in the Spatial Sciences exchange. |
