UAA is - first and foremost - a student organization. Every Geneseo student is a member, but more importantly, all students are part of the Geneseo family from the moment they arrive on campus. UAA works closely with the Alumni Relations Office, striving to bring together past and present Geneseo students in an atmosphere of mutual respect and learning. No other organization on campus has such an intimate link with the world beyond Geneseo while still maintaining a connection to the College. By putting Geneseo into perspective, UAA gives its members the unique opportunity to forge bonds and gain the skills that will launch them into a successful career.
However, one of the greatest advantages of UAA is that while we work on all that "personal expansion" stuff, we also manage to have a little fun.
In the spring of 2011, UAA launched it's Traditions Challenge. Over 700 free t-shirts were handed out to students across campus at a variety of events. The t-shirts featured an abbrieviated list of Geneseo Traditions.
The fall of 2011, marks the official start of UAA's Traditions Challenge. The Traditions Challenge was created by UAA as a way of bringing ALL students together, regardless of their class year, major, residence hall, extracurricular interests, etc to take part in the things that make Geneseo unique. The Undergraduate-Alumni Alliance (UAA) is a group for every student and the Traditions Challenge is a way for every student to get involved in all areas of the undergraduate experience. In UAA, we firmly believe that is those shared experience that unite the students of today and bridges the gap among our alumni family.
