  • Women in Leadership Conference - Special guests were invited to serve as panelists to discuss several issues and challeneges confronting women serving in leadership roles in business, non-profit agencies and government, providing valuable advice on preparing for the future. Participants had the opportunity to participate in 3 of the 7 workshops related to women in leadership and in addition got to spend a ten-minute session with a "career coach." The evening concluded with a networking mixer and dinner with the keynote speaker, Dr. Gidget Hopf (CEO, Association for Blind & Visually Impaired - Goodwill Industries) - March 6, 2013
  • PD Event: Kenneth Tomaszewski, PhD, President and CEO of KJT Group, a research and consulting firm located within the US and now in Amsterdam (Netherlands) - February 28,2013
  • Career Night: SWB hosted Andrew and Alison Romanowski, owners and developers of small business, Alliance Homes - February 26, 2013

Thoughts on Harvard Conference (2012):

"As someone who was an Adolescent Education and Math major for the first two years of college, going to the Harvard Conference was a fantastic reinforcement that changing majors was the right thing for me to do. The speakers and panelists at the conference got me fired up for life after Geneseo in the business world, and I am now even more determined to create my own path in life. The conference has changed my view on what is possible to achieve in life, especially as a woman entering a man's world."

It was a great chace not only to bond with other student leaders from Geneseo, but also to connect with professionals from all walks of life. The"The day we spent at Harvard Business School for the 21st Annual Dynamic Women in Business Conference was truly inspiring.While the keynote speakers and panelists were brilliant, successful, dynamic women in their fields, there wasn't a moment where I felt like I couldn't do the same. Every speech I heard that day was motivating and encouraging, and left me feeling like I could take on anything.
