Our history goes all the way back to 1886, and we don't want to take up too much of your time, but we would like to share a few of the more memorable moments with you.

1886
The Alpha Delta fraternity began. Alpha Delta Epsilon derives its beginning from this fraternity.

1900
A number of members of the Wendling Club met with Dr. Milne, the principal of the Geneseo Normal School, and Miss Kellogg, a student. Dr. Milne explained that certain individuals wanted to organize a new sorority, which would become a chapter of the Alpha Delta fraternity at Brockport. This society took on the temporary name of "The Ladies Literary Club".

1901
A charter was issued to the club, making its 23 charter members the Epsilon chapter of the Alpha Delta fraternity. The Epsilon chapter was admitted to full membership.

1916
The council accepted the rush system. The rushing system specified a definite number of rush parties and allowed for rotating days of the week for formals.

1938
The first sorority house was obtained at 28 Wadsworth Street. Since that time, meetings have been held once a week.

1954
Ties were broken with the other chapters of the Alpha Delta fraternity. Since this time, the sorority has been known as Alpha Delta Epsilon.

Fall 1986
This marks the 100th Anniversary for Alpha Delta. During the Homecoming Weekend, a hundredth anniversary celebration was held.

1987-1988
Sorority became incorporated. The incorporation benefits the sorority by dealing with liabilities.

2001
This marked the 115th Anniversary for Alpha Delta. During the summer of this year, the Alumni Association coordinated a weekend long event to commemorate this anniversary.
