Unfortunately this means Mary is resigning from her position as Secretary on our Corporation Board, but we are excited for her and this great opportunity. Thank you so much for your long commitment to us, it is truly appreciated. We will miss you, keep in touch!

Homecoming was a wonderful and fun filled weekend. With a tremendous turnout from Spring 1993 alumni, the Ago House was bumping. Despite the dreary, rainy day, AKPhi kept up the tradition of the float with the help of our DK friend Duke driving the float to the theme of “Saved by the Bell”. Thanks to all who came to hang out and reunite. We look forward to another great Homecoming this coming Fall 2004.
We would like to introduce our brand new six advisors of sorority. Due to the birth of Mary’s new little girl, these six ladies have stepped it up to assist in filling Mary’s shoes. We are forever grateful for all of their help and support. It is very much appreciated.
Alex Bull (’94), Elaine Bull (’95), Tayla Branca (’97), Erica Thomas (’97), Kelly Sivers (’99), and Laura Luley (’99)
Treasurer Jennifer Kluge Sparcino (’87) is still taking care of the books for Alpha Kappa Phi Inc., thanks for your continued hard work!
We would also like to give a huge thank you to our Alumna Representative Alison Van Houten Knauf (’91) for all of her help this past summer with the Ago House improvements and for taking her time and dedication to keep this house the best on campus. We truly appreciate all she has done.
AKPhi takes pride in the numerous charity events done in the Fall 2003 semester and now in Spring 2004. Together as a sorority, we were able to help a less fortunate family through “Adopt A Family”. Each sister helped brighten this family’s Christmas day by generously donating gifts to the children, including clothing, toys, and books. We also adopted a family for Thanksgiving. The sisters also volunteered their time for Habitat for Humanity, where girls went and assisted in building houses for the needy. We also visited a horse farm in the area that adopts sick horses and nurses them back to health!
Last fall, we organized the “Ago Lottery” Fundraiser, where we raised approximately $1,000 for sorority. The pledges are doing their annual Candy Drive and selling hotdogs outside the Inn Between.
We would like to congratulate and wish the best of luck to our lovely seniors graduating this upcoming May! Good Luck in all your future endeavors!
