This award was created in 1999 to honor Ago sister Mary Jo Armstrong Johnson
('58) and her 14 years of leadership and service as our sorority Advisor from
1985-1999.
The award, presented every year at Senior Banquet, recognizes an outstanding
Ago senior relic who possesses superior leadership skills, best balances individual
and sorority goals, and is committed to the values, beliefs, and continued
existence of Alpha Kappa Phi, as was Mary Jo herself. Sisters may nominate
a senior for this award by writing a letter to sorority that explains their
candidate's qualifications. All sisters vote on the award recipient.
