September 19th - Alzheimers
Memory Walk
The Memory Walks raise funds to provide programs and services to
individuals with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia, their families,
and to caregivers. We were proud to join the Geneseo Community and student
body in this event. Together our donations supported over 24,000 Rochester
residents who are affected by Alzheimer's.

October 21st - Cooking
Dinner at the Ronald McDonald House
We are looking forward to returning to the Ronald McDonald House in
Rochester, NY to cook dinner for the families residing there while their
child/sibling is being treated at Strong Memorial Hospital. The Rochester
RM House is one of over 200 throughout the United States. Volunteer's are
an essential element that contribute to the success of this charity, and
we are proud of our continous efforts and support.
October 23rd - Building
Houses for Habitat for Humanity
As often as possible, the sisters of AGO spend their Saturday afternoon
helping build houses for Habitat for Humanity. From sawing to painting to
gardening, we have contributed to the construction of several local
Habitat homes.

Hospital at Strong
We collected donations for the hospital and sent care packages to the children
in the cancer center.
H.O.R.S.E. Sanctuary
and Rescue
We volunteer at a sanctuary for abused, neglected, and disabled horses. In
volunteering our time and care to the horses, we hope to make a difference
in improving their unfortunate conditions. View

We created cards and care packages to send to the members of our military.
Fall 2002
American Cancer Society
On Sunday, October 20, 2002, we participated in the Making Strides Against
Breast Cancer walk in the City of Rochester to raise money for the American
Cancer Society. Through an organized money drive, and with the help of many
family members and alumnae, AKPhi was able to raise about $1,500 towards this
cause.
Adopt-A-Family
We were able to help provide a less fortunate family with Thanksgiving
dinner. For Christmas, we donated clothing, toys, and books to the children
in our adopted family.
Spring 2002
Lupus Foundation
Thanks to the Geneseo community and our alumnae, we raised over $5,000 during
our "Loops for Lupus" fundraiser!!!
Foodlink
We volunteered at a fundraiser for Foodlink, a regional food bank, at a Rochester
Knighthawks lacrosse game.
