Recruitment

What is Recruitment?

Recruitment can best be described as an introduction to Greek Life. This introduction takes place as you meet active members in an informal or formal setting. During Informal and Formal Rush, you will develop a better understanding of the sorority system and of which sorority is best suited to your interests. Keep an open mind during Recruitment and meet as many people as you can from every organization. If you decide to pledge, you'll find that sisterhood is a wonderful, lifelong journey. Don't forget, freshman cannot pledge their first semester at SUNY Geneseo, but you are more than welcome to recruit! The Inter-Greek Council webpage was designed and compiled by one of our very own sisters and has some very helpful information to help explain rush and the different events. Learn more on the IGC website!

Please browse through our website to find out more about Alpha Kappa Phi, and our rich history and traditions. We look forward to meeting all of you!

Good luck and have fun!
