Ago Love (Spring '83)
(sung to "The Rose")
Some say love it is the courage
To do what we must do
Some say love it is big sisters
To care and help us through
Some say love it is great friendship
Support, sincere and true
But most of all, love is Ago
A yellow rose in bloom.
When the times become too trying
And you wonder what its all for
When the tears that you've been crying
Can't find comfort anymore
Just remember, you have sisters
Who are always there for you
And the Ago love, undying
Is there for me and you.
My Alpha Kappa Phi (Spring '84)
(sung to "Miss American Pie")
A long, long time ago
I can still remember
How those Agos used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had the chance, that I would take that Ago stance,
And maybe I'd be happy for a while.
But February made me shiver, with every new bid they delivered.
Good news on the doorstep, I could take that big step.
I can't remember if I cried when I read the good news held inside,
But something touched me deep inside
The day my bid arrived.
Oh my, my Alpha Kappa Phi
With the sisters is our trust
And our hopes are held high.
Those good ol' girls can make you laugh and cry
Singing sisterhood until we die.
9:00 at the Ago House (Spring '87)
(sung to "Piano Man")
It's 9:00 at the Ago House,
And the sisters all gather there.
To share in their friendship and laughter,
With close friends who truly care.
They say Ago will fill you with memories,
Some that are old, others new.
They are special and sweet and they make life complete
For the sisters in gold, white, and blue.
La la la didee da ah la la didee da dada
Sharing our love through our sisterhood
And keeping the bonds always tight.
With our sisters there's love, truth, and friendship
To make sure we're feeling alright.
When in need of support and security
The Ago House is our second home.
With A K Phi there's no loneliness, with our sisters we're never alone.
