Sharpe. Matt received
an Undergraduate Research Grant from the Geneseo Student Association and the
Geneseo Foundation. This grant will help fund Matts
honors thesis work designed to assess a dose response of behavioral effects
associated with acute intrastriatal quinolinic injections in the rat. Keep those awards coming
Matt.
10/98 Belated
Congratulations to Elizabeth DuFort. Liz was accepted to SUNY Buffalo Medical School.
We're not surprised to hear she is doing well, and that she even had enough
free time to come back to the Vital Spot for Friday night adventure (cripes, is
Buffalo so slow that their students are coming to Geneseo on Friday nights?).
4/98 Congratulations to Libby
Legnard (yet again and again) for her receiving
the 1998 Horylev-Tesch Award and the 1998 Edward
Curry Scholarly Achievement Award. Geez Libby, what are you doing, wall
papering a room with these awards?
4/98 Congratulations to Pat Collette and
his decision to attend graduate school at Baylor University in Waco, TX. Pat
will be spewing his vast knowledge of Biology and Chemistry, as well as his
sarcasm, among the laboratories of the Biopsychology Department at Baylor. If
you see Pat playing with his band around town, request some Garth Brooks...
he's gonna have to get used to it.

2/98 Congratulations to Matt Sharpe
for being selected to attend the American Psychological Association's Summer
Science Institute at Johns Hopkins University. This intensive eight day program
is highly selective, choosing only 32 students from 270 applicants. We
anticipate this program will significantly increase Matt's already oversized
cortex.
