Well, it took us over a year of living in the house, but we finally got new furniture for our family room!

We love our "icebox" tables from the Pottery Barn--there's the coffee table plus an end table and a side table not in view. We've also been happy with our dark red couch and . . .
...just to the left of the couch, our chair and a half, which clearly sits two people (in this case, me and Bob)!

Some views of the dining room, one of our "finished" rooms.

We get great late afternoon sunlight in the dining room, which faces south (and overlooks the cemetary like all our back windows). You'll see the light streaming through a unique window...
...at the top right of this picture. That side table is new; while we were on our Pottery Barn spending spree, we thought, "why not order an unnecessary table for the dining room too?" :-)

One of the last areas of the house to be finished was the library; here are a few pictuers which take you clockwise around the room from the door...

We got a great deal on this leather chair and matching ottoman.
Bob brought home several prints from his office, including this one and the one over the chair in the prior pictures.

Then we added a new globe in the corner as well.

We loved the look of the black wood shelves against the dark red walls--now we just need more books to fill them!

Plus, we needed a new back door for awhile (the old one leaked), so we finally got around to replacing it (actually, got around to hiring someone to replace it).

This is off our breakfast area looking out to our back deck.

As a housewarming gift, my dad gave me a stenciling kit, and I've tried my hand at a couple of places:

This was my first try, along the soffit in "my" room in the basement, which I use as an exercise/craft room.
I did this small tulip stencil on two walls of the laundry room. Bob picked the flower colors and choose primaries--red, yellow, and blue.
