Engagement

Bob and I got engaged on August 28, 2002, which was our 14-year anniversary (although I completely forgot at the time!). It was a very oridinary Wednesday evening, and we were in the family room after dinner (around 8 p.m.) when Bob proposed. It came as a total surprise to me--in fact, shock might be a better word! Eventually, I recovered and said yes, and we spent the next several hours talking to all of our immediate family members on the phone while sipping celebratory champagne. Below is a sample picture of my engagement ring (not my actual ring).

Wedding

We were married on June 6, 2003, at the Strathallan Hotel in Rochester, New York. It was a gorgeous, sunny day in the mid-70s, and everything went smoothly--we couldn't have asked for a better wedding day!
