What We DO
FoHR organizes weekly shifts to the rescue in Pavillion every morning and afternoon. A shift lasts for two hours and generally includes:
- Mucking out shelters and basic cleaning
- Feeding and giving hay to all of the horses as well as any necessary medications
- Making sure each pasture has a full clean bucket of water that isn't iced over in the winter
- Grooming and making the horses beautiful
- And most importantly of all giving the horses your love and attention
FoHR also plays helps fundraise money for the horses (the Rescue is a non-profit organization), and raise awareness. Ideas are always welcome, even if you can't take a shift.
