Dear Frasnian working group:

I would like to report the preliminary results of the e-mail and postal vote on how to proceed with subdivisions of the Frasnian.

Fifteen of twenty-three working group members have sent in their preferences.  There is no possibility of additional votes changing the choice favored most highly, but I will document the final tally when I prepare an end of year report.

Clearly our direction should go toward three subdivisions.  An active correspondence is on-going by e-mail and I think we are greatly benefiting by the exchanges of ideas.  Proposals toward three subdivisions that detail boundaries and type sections for consideration should be prepared for discussion at the meeting in Frankfurt and I will gladly place materials on the web site for pre-meeting appraisal and to get information to those not attending.  Several proposals that have already been submitted are on the web page.
