The mission of the Northwest Mining Association is
to support and
advance the mineral resource and related industries by stimulating
scientific
research, supporting mineral programs of academic institutions,
encouraging the exploration for and development of mineral deposits,
providing for
the dissemination of technological, governmental and educational
information relating to mining, and fostering and promoting legislation
that
ensures strong and responsible mineral industries.
