There are many different components in this course. At times you may feel that they pull you in different directions. The following reference is created in order to help you weave them together into a coherent whole.

The columns each have the following meanings:

Date is the date the exploration will be done in class.
Expl references the activity we will do from Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers: Explorations
Text lists the associated reading for the acitvities from Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers. This is a great place to look for background and deeper understanding for our in class work. If you find yourself struggling at all in class, I strongly suggest doing the readings before class.
PS indicates how the problem set questions correlate with the in-class questions
WQ mentions the topics that the weekly questions address for that week
Log presents the ideas to be discussed in your reflection logs
Exam shares what you will be expected to do and explain on the exam connected with the remainder of the course
