The SUNY Geneseo
Department of Geological Sciences invites applicants for a one-year visiting
professor position beginning in August of 2013. The successful applicant will
be responsible for teaching Structural Geology and introductory level geology
courses. Additional courses may include an upper level elective in the major
with preference given to those able to teach Applied Geophysics, Stratigraphy,
and/or Sedimentology. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence
in undergraduate education and have strong interpersonal skills. While the
focus of this position is teaching, the candidate is strongly encouraged to
maintain research activity. Although preference will be given to candidates
with a PhD at the time of appointment, ABD candidates will be considered.
