History

In the fall of 1997, a group of friends were sitting in the Union and talking about the lack of options available on this campus to become involved. Yes, there were groups that said they helped the community, but there was no organization where they felt that they could have the kind of impact they wanted. As they were talking, the friends came up with the idea for Men of Action and Change (MAC). MAC would be a service organization with fraternal bonds. The four drew up five principles that each member of the organization would have to embody.

Since 1997, MAC has grown and developed into a respected organization at SUNY Geneseo. MAC currently has 25 active brothers and over 50 alumni.
