Textbook: Fundamentals of Physics, 8th edition, by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker.
Most of you will already have the Extended version with WileyPLUS access (ISBN 978-0470179482). That is fine, although we will not be using WileyPLUS.
If you do not already have this text, choose the Extended version with no WileyPLUS (ISBN 978-0471758013).
Textbook: Modern Physics for Scientists and Engineers, 3rd edition, by Thornton and Rex (ISBN 0-534-41781-7)
You will also use this book in Analytical Physics IV, assuming that you continue with the sequence.
Note that this is a change from the last few years. The previous text (by Serway, Moses, and Moyer) covers very similar material and could be a useful reference, but will not be refered to directly in class.
