Hearing Test Information

If we work together, everyone in the class will have an opportunity to have a very basic hearing test done, which we will use in a homework problem around the middle of the semester.

Step 1

Schedule your appointment (Choose the earliest appointment possible, please.)

  • In mycourses.geneseo.edu, on the courses "Course Materials" tab, click on "Hearing Test Appointments", which is a wiki editable by anyone in the course.
  • From the menu on the right of the screen, select one of the time blocks available.  It will expand onto the left of the screen, and you will see a list of appointment times.
  • Move your mouse pointer over the table, and click on the "edit" link that pops up near the table's title.
  • Type your name next to the appointment time you desire.
  • Click the "save" link near the table's title.
Step 2 Print out an Audiological Report form and bring it with you to the appointment.
Step 3 Arrive promptly for your appointment at the Speech and Hearing Clinic in 201 Sturges.  We only have just barely enough time available for the whole class.  If you are late, the Clinic might not be able to accomodate you.

Note that the Xs and Os on your test indicate left and right ears.
