		Standard Procedures

		Unless otherwise noted, the following procedures are used in these investigations CR-39 is exposed to 5.5 MeV alpha particles from an Americium 241 source Particles are not collimated, resulting in varying angles of incidence Standard etches are used: 6M NaOH at 80°C, 6 hours making a complete etch Samples are plated with gold-palladium prior to imaging Back to Main SEM page
