Stephen R. Eckert, 16, of Bank Street in Dansville died Saturday (June 20, 1987) as a result of a vehicle-pedestrian accident on Route 63 in the Town of Sparta.

A son of Richard and Barbara Palmer Eckert of Dansville, he was born here on Oct. 6, 1970. He was a junior at Dansville High School and was enrolled in Conservation Department courses at the Charles G. May Occupational Center at Mt. Morris. He was employed at McDonald’s in Dansville.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandfather, Albert Eckert of Dansville; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service was conducted Tuesday morning in the Chamberlin Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Shoop officiating. Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
