Have you heard the term "blogging" but aren't sure what it means? Do you want to find out how to create and publish your own weblog (or "blog" for short)? Would you like to get some tips on what to put in a blog? Put simply, a blog is a webpage with commentary, links, and news, much like an online journal, and can be created for any purpose. Many are updated daily, and many blogs allow readers to interact with the blogger by adding comments to the blog.

This introductory workshop for faculty and staff will explore the world of blogging: tracing the history and origins of blogging, identifying the main components of a blog, where to set up and publish on the web, and the pros and cons of creating a blog for your class or as a student journaling assignment.
