Milne Library became a federal depository in 1967 and presently selects about 38% of the documents made available through the Federal Depository Library Program. Milne also has documents from before 1967, some dating from the very beginnings of the nation. Since 1962, Milne Library has been a depository for New York State, and in 1989 was redesignated a Documents Depository Library under the New York State Document Depository Program.
