Undergraduate researchers working with Dr. Pogozelski in the Engineering Physics Lab will focus on a target chamber detector manipulator system (see image below) that will be used to locate charge particle detectors in the 30R accelerator beam line. The work may include programming in LabVIEW.
The student researchers will also use 3D printers to construct prototype parts for various projects related to the accelerator lab.
Student researches will also write computer code using multiple languages (C, Python, Javascript, HTML) for Raspberry Pi and Arduino computers.
Prior experience with hardware and software-based projects is desirable, but not required.
