This casebook may be read with satisfaction by the general reader who is interested in rock 'n' roll, law, or both! For the instructor or student, however, it is not intended to supplant a textbook, merely to supplement one. It certainly can be used as a companion to a teacher's own materials, or with any existing undergraduate law text, as well as those textbooks dealing with specific legal areas . The edited cases are often broad in legal scope, each usually touching on several legal principles at once. Therefore, each case, while reproduced in a particular legal section, may be used for illustration in other areas. Other pertinent materials, including pleadings and wills are also included in the appendices. A workbook with questions posed for each case is available, and may be obtained for outside class assignments, or later review by the student.
