In 1986 I served as President of the Pennsylvania Science Teachers Association. As President-elect in 1985, I was responsible for organizing the annual conference which was held in Monroeville, PA. The main speakers for the conference were Dr. Alice Moses, President of the National Science Teachers Association as the banquet speaker, and Dr. Michael Duke, Director of the Division of Planetary Exploration for NASA as the Luncheon speaker.
