Mr. Miller's Philosophy of Education |
There are many aspects of my philosophy of education and I have many thoughts on teaching. I believe that a teacher should be first be an educator (obviously). I think that it is a teacher's job to educate their students in an exciting, enlightening and interesting way that is beneficial to all students. It is important for a teacher to make sure that the style in which they are teaching is beneficial for all students and that all students are getting a quality education. I think that teachers should strive to have classrooms in which students feel safe and comfortable and are willing to relax and enjoy learning. A teacher must be continously attempting to keep the students in engaged in what their learning and try to make the content they are teaching interesting and relateable. A teacher should also not be afraid to learn from their students and have a constantly open mind. Teaching is a learning experience for both the students and the teacher. |
