In response to severe weather conditions across the state, SUNY Geneseo canceled all day and evening classes and activities for Monday, Dec. 2. Campus will resume normal operations Tuesday, Dec. 3.
The men's basketball game vs. Canton that had been scheduled for Monday evening has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 5:00 p.m. Check geneseoknights.com for any other updates related to athletic competitions.
The Geneseo weather hotline is available 24 hours a day at 585-245-6666 and is updated during severe weather events with information related to College operations and services.
Information for Employees
Essential services employees are required to report to work on Monday, but are advised to exercise proper judgment. Employees in the MacVittie College Union and Milne library who will be reporting to work should also exercise proper judgement and caution on the roads.
Employees can reach out to their direct supervisor if they have questions. Employees who anticipate a late arrival are asked to contact their supervisor or office. Faculty are not required to be on campus during times when classes have been canceled.
Absences of staff (non-instructional employees) who are normally scheduled to work may follow standard call in procedures to communicate their absence due to the weather to their supervisor. Employees who decide not to report to work shall charge the time against appropriate accrued time, such as compensatory time, vacation accruals, or personal leave.
In all cases, please follow the standard procedures in your respective department to obtain leave approval from your supervisor. Supervisors should approve leave liberally in accordance with operational needs.
