Amenities in the Halls

The residence halls have a wide variety of amenities in different areas including conference rooms, study rooms, makers spaces, and LLC specialized rooms.


Multifaith Prayer and Meditation Space - Wyoming Hall

Located in Wyoming Hall, the Multifaith Prayer and Meditation Space is a card access only space reserved for mindfulness or spiritual practices, including: prayer, meditation, quiet reflection, pause for peace, calm, and balance. To support in these practices there are prayer rugs, mindfulness materials, LED candles, a sound machine, and other materials in this space. This room is not designed for eating, sleeping, or studying. Use of candles is permitted in this space following the posted procedures and the Open Flame Policy. On campus students interested in accessing this space should contact the building professional staff or complete this form.


Maker Spaces - Onondaga

Currently, various LLCs are home to new Maker Spaces in the residence halls. This includes the Painting Studio and Paper Craft Room in Arts and Wellness and the Textile and Beading Room in Kuumba. These spaces are for all residential student use.

Sensory Rooms - Putnam and Monroe

Both Monroe and Putnam Hall are home to sensory friendly rooms including sensory objects, seating, and sound machines to assist students feeling overstimulated who may need a moment of comfort of calm. These rooms are not designed for eating, sleeping, or studying. These spaces are for use by students living in those halls.


Study Rooms, Libraries, Conference Rooms - various

Various Halls on campus have small and large study rooms, library spaces, and conference rooms for student use.

 

 


Suffolk Gym - Suffolk Hall

Our small but mighty gym located in Suffolk Hall in our South Village is a great close option for our on campus students including cardio and weight equipment, TVs, music, and a great vibe. Check it out during the open hours when classes are in session.
