College Officers


President

The College is administered by the president, the president's staff and the faculty. The president, as chief administrative officer of the College, is responsible to the chancellor and the board of trustees. The president's responsibilities are set forth in the Policies of the Board of Trustees, Article IX, Title A, Section 2.


Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs reports directly to the President, is a member of the President's Council, and provides academic and administrative leadership in all areas of the College. Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs are the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, the Associate Provost for Academic Success, the Associate Provost for Assessment and Curriculum, the Associate Provost for Finance and Administration, the heads of the two schools and 18 departments, the directors of the following areas: Institutional Research; Milne Library; and Computing and Information Technology, and the Senior Assistant to the Provost. 


Vice President for Finance and Administration

The Vice President for Finance and Administration acts as the chief business and fiscal officer for State University of New York at Geneseo. Develops major policies for business operations and gives overall guidance to the budget, purchase, account, bursary, personnel, payroll and other related administrative offices at the campus; works with the President, Deans, Directors, Department Chairs, other academic administrators, and faculty to ensure that fiscal and related programs service the academic objectives of the campus; guides the campus in translating academic and related programs into program budgets; institutes effective controls and procedures for the administration of campus funds; assures efficiency and economy in business office operations. Serves as the Campus Operations Manager for the Research Foundation.


Vice President for Student and Campus Life

The Vice President for Student and Campus Life reports directly to the President, is a member of the President’s Council, and provides leadership in the administration of the student affairs program to include planning, development of overall policy and the operations of the student personnel program. The student affairs area is concerned with out-of-class educational programs designed to offer students opportunities to-develop intellectually, socially, culturally and personally. Areas of responsibility include student counseling and student health services, housing, residential life, placement and career services, student orientation, student union and activities, university police services, multicultural affairs, Greek affairs, volunteer services, and student leadership development.


Vice President for Enrollment Management

Serving as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the Vice President for Enrollment Management provides strategic leadership, vision, and direction for Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, International Students and Scholars Services, and the Financial Aid Department. Working collaboratively with leadership, faculty and administrators, the Enrollment Management division supports the mission and values of the College and is focused on the full life cycle and success of students from point of entry through graduation.


Vice President for College Advancement

The Vice President for College Advancement leads all aspects of College Advancement including management and coordination of College fundraising campaigns, donor relations, major gifts, parent relations, the annual fund and communications and public relations. Ensures the achievement of campus fundraising goals and targets, and provides for effective recruitment/enrollment processes for international students. Serves as Executive Director of the Geneseo Foundation, provides oversight for the Board of Directors. Works closely with SUNY Geneseo Foundation Board, Alumni Board, community members, political constituencies, corporate donors.


Chief Communications and Marketing Officer

The Chief Communications and Marketing Officer provides vision and leadership for all institutional communications efforts, including public relations, media relations, marketing and advertising, digital media, web, creative services and internal communications. Leads collaboration with key leaders to support a cohesive brand identity that defines market position, target audiences and key messages to enhance the College’s strengths, national reputation and distinctiveness.


Chief Diversity Officer

The Chief Diversity Officer is committed to sustaining and expanding the diversity and inclusivity of the campus community. Strives to broaden understanding, heighten awareness, awaken empathy, and foster empowerment in all individuals at Geneseo through programs and initiatives. Provides vision towards creating an equitable environment for current and future students and employees. Works to eliminate harassment and discrimination in all programs and activities for employees and students through policy development and prevention education.
