Requirements for Procession Participants


For Students Participating in On-Campus Pooled Testing

  1. Complete the Spring Affirmation under your clearances in your health portal. Only those who have not completed their Spring Affirmation for 2021 are required to do so. To confirm if you have look under CLEARANCES in your health portal. If it says completed,  you are set.  Note: students are not required to participate in a seven-day quarantine and can mark “N/A” on the Spring Affirmation regarding quarantine. 
  2. Make sure Geneseo has proof of a negative COVID-19 test result for you, either from pooled testing from the week of May 3 or from an off-site provider.
    • If you participate in weekly pooled testing, you're not required to submit evidence of an additional test prior to May 12. 
    • If you fail to participate in testing the week of May 3, you MUST provide a negative test from an off-site provider within 72 hours of the May 12 event. You will need to bring proof of this test to Sturges Hall between 10 AM-3 PM on May 12. 
  3. Complete your daily COVID-19 survey on May 12 by noon. 

The College is not providing COVID-19 testing for procession participants. 

If you do not meet these compliance guidelines, you will not be able to participate in the event. There are no exceptions. 


For Students Not Participating in On-Campus Pooled Testing

(This includes students who completed their degrees in December)

  1. Complete the Spring Affirmation under your clearances in your health portal. Only those who have not completed their Spring Affirmation for 2021 are required to do so. To confirm if you have look under CLEARANCES in your health portal. If it says completed,  you are set.  Note: students are not required to participate in a seven-day quarantine and can mark “N/A” on the Spring Affirmation regarding quarantine. 
  2. You must provide one of the following in your health portal:
    • Proof of having completed a COVID-19 vaccination series at least 14 days prior to the date of the event. Proof of vaccination after April 29 is not accepted; OR
    • Proof of positive test result or completed order of isolation for individuals who have fully recovered from a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 contracted after Feb. 11, 2021, and who do not have any recent or current symptoms; OR
    • Check in at Sturges Hall on May 12 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and provide:
      • Documentation of a negative PCR test obtained within 72 hours of the event; OR
      • Documentation of a negative rapid COVID-19 test taken within six hours before the event start time on May 12.
  3. Complete your daily COVID-19 survey on May 12 by noon. 

The College is not providing COVID-19 testing for procession participants.
