Transfer Registration Information
How will you get registered for courses for fall 2018?
Geneseo faculty advisors are going to build your course schedule based on previous coursework and major prerequisites. If there is an error in your schedule and you need to make a change, advisors will be available at orientation. You will also have the opportunity to modify your schedule during open registration beginning on August 6th.
After you have submitted your deposit, within a week you will receive an email (to your Geneseo email account) from the Office of New Student Programs, with a link to the “Transfer Student Fall Registration Sign Up”. Completing this survey will put you into a queue signaling the Academic Planning and Advising Office that you are ready for us to build your fall schedule. The survey will also provide you the opportunity to confirm your major and to notify us of any scheduling conflicts (e.g., work schedules, family care obligations, Division 3 sport responsibilities).
Please make sure you have requested that your FINAL TRANSCRIPTS from ALL prior colleges you have attended (this includes college credit received in high school) be sent to Geneseo Admissions as soon as possible. We will not be able to build your schedule until all transcripts have been received. This includes any coursework taken in Fall 2017 and the interim winter session. We can’t give you credit for courses if your transcript doesn’t show the grade you earned. Information about transferring courses is in the Undergraduate Bulletin and on the Academic Planning & Advising website.
We are excited that you will be joining us and look forward to supporting you on your academic journey. Please feel free to contact us with questions regarding this process by calling (585) 245-5541.
