How do I get an email account?
  • Human Resources (HR) populates your applicant email in our SUNYHR system.
  • This is the email you used to apply for a position in the Online Employment System (OES).
  • HR uses your applicant email to send the Applicant Release for Background Check form via AdobeSign. Your appointment letter mentions that appointments are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
  • Once HR receives the completed form from you via AdobeSign, our office surmises your information data into our SUNY HR system.
  • Then the Computing & Information Technology (CIT) department is able to create a Geneseo email account for you using this data information.
  • To claim your Geneseo email account, you (the employee) will need to check your applicant email for the email claim information.
  • Once you follow the instructions in this email and set up your Geneseo account, HR will provide further onboarding and benefits information to you via your new Geneseo email account.
