While at Geneseo:
Bien was very involved on campus and took advantage of everything that Geneseo had to offer its students. He has been in multiple clubs and activities during his time here. Bien was a part of Japanese Culture Club and Geneseo Chinese Culture Club. Both clubs invite diverse members to interact and celebrate cultural traditions both old and new. He had also done volunteer work, different jobs, and research for interesting projects. Bien worked at C.I.T. or Computer & Information Technology. C.I.T. employees assist students with problems with their laptops, fix network problems, and help install programs. In addition to working for C.I.T., Bien was also a Computer Science tutor. In the summer of 2010, Bien was selected for an internship at Goldman Sachs Finance in NYC. He received this internship through Geneseo's Career Services and the School of Business. During his internship, Bien worked in the finance department and also did computer programming.

Bien was chosen to present his research project at Geneseo Recognizes Excellence and Talent or G.R.E.A.T Day. His presentation was about how to build an internet application for android mobile devices. When asked about his presentation, Bien explain that "In order for mobile devices to interact with the Internet data, we will have to create a web Application Programming Interface (API) that generates the data into a common format such as Extensible Markup Language (XML) or JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). We can then build a client in the mobile platform to read the data, parse them into objects and display them to the user interface." To sum up his presentation Bien said "In this presentation , we will describe how to implement a REST (Representational State Transfer) API using the Zend Framework and build an internet application specifically for the Android platform."

Where are they now?
Bien is currently working at Goldman Sachs in New York City  for the Technology Department, as well as contributing to the Finance Department.
