While at Geneseo:
Geneseo allows students to take part in many different opportunities for research. Kaori became involved in Geneseo's research program by working with Dr. Kenneth Kallio of the Psychology Department. Kaori worked on a research project with Dr. Kallio on short term memory and presented the data at Geneseo Recognizes Excellence and Talent or G.R.E.A.T Day. G.R.E.A.T. is a campus wide convention that allows students to show their creative and academic achievements.
In addition to her work in research, Kaori plays the piano at church and is part of the InterVarsity Christian Group. This group is part of a larger international organization that meets on campus for Bible Study, prayer, and larger group worship times. Kaori also is a part of the Transfer Connectors which is a group of students that works to make transfer students feel welcome, answer any questions they may have about Geneseo, and puts on programs to allow them to make new friends in Geneseo.

Kaori was recognized for her GPA during her time at Geneseo by being on the Dean's List. The Dean's List is made up of student's that have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher while taking 12 credit hours. She is also a member of the Golden Key national Honor Society. The Golden Key National Honor Society is a society that recognizes the top 15% of juniors and seniors regardless of their major or involvement in extracurricular activities on campus.

Where are they now?

After graduating from Geneseo in 2011, Kaori plans to attend Hamline University. She also plans to try to find a summer job or internship in the U.S. for this summer.
