Resources for LGBTQ+ Students

The ISC in early Spring 2020Sometimes things happen that are outside of our control and we don't know what to do when things are happening. Below are a brief list of resources, through SUNY Geneseo, New York State, and nationally should you ever need telephone numbers and websites for whom to reach out to online or call.

As the Geneseo community is currently all spread out across the state and beyond as we engage social distancing and distance learning, regardless of where you are, we want you to have a foundation of resources to which we are aware.

Please reach out to a trusted professor, your campus supervisor, your club or academic advisor, the Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs for LGBTQ+ Life, phone 585-245-6237, or Geneseo's Dean of Students, Dr. Leonard Sancilio (email sancilio@geneseo.edu, phone 585-245-5706), if you ever need assistance with finding help and resources for mental health, physical health, and safety concerns. No one should ever endure alone. And you are not alone, no matter how far away you are from us.

Additionally, if you ever feel like you are in immediate danger, call 911 from any phone.

Here's a list of various resources at or through SUNY Geneseo, New York state, and nationally which may be helpful; there may be many more in your current location, please feel free to ask if you need help finding specific resources:
