March 2023 Service Trips

Louisiana: March 11th - 18th, 2023

Volunteers will engage in recovery work supporting individuals and families impacted by the 2019 hurricane season, and the 2020 flooding that occurred this spring, damaging the same homes. The work will be hands-on and will include basic deconstruction and construction (no prior skills necessary).  Trip participants will fly out of Rochester, NY, and land in Houston, Texas. The Fuller Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana, will be our host for the trip. All meals during the stay are provided by the host organization and volunteers will stay in shared living and dining space.

Give Kids The World, Kissimmee, Florida: March 11th - 18th, 2023

Give Kids the World
Students will set out for Kissimmee, Flordia., to share their time and passion as part of by volunteering at Give Kids The World (GKTW) Village. The village serves as a home away from home to families who have a child with a life-threatening illness. Their week-long stay is an all-expense paid vacation, often through the Make A Wish Foundation, with many college students from across the country volunteering as workers for the GKTW organization. Volunteers will engage in the village serving Make A Wish children and their families.

May 2023 Service Trip

Puerto Rico: May 20th - 27th, 2023

Total trip cost: $800.00

Final Payment Due:                April 14, 2023

Volunteers will engage in recovery work supporting individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Maria and the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Fiona. Work teams will be deployed to different locations on the Island based on the current needs of residents. The work will be hands-on and will include basic deconstruction and construction (no prior skills necessary).  Trip participants will fly out of Rochester, NY, and land in San Juan Puerto Rico. The Methodist Church of Puerto Rico are our hosts for the trip. All meals during the stay are provided by the host organization and volunteers will stay in shared living and dining space.
