SUNY Geneseo Calendar of Events for Oct. 26 – Nov. 1

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26:

LOCKHART GALLERY: The Lockhart Gallery, located in the McClellan House, 26 Main Street, Geneseo, presents "The Women of Geneseo (Town and Gown in the Era of Susan B. Anthony)." The gallery is open noon-4 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and noon-8 p.m. Thursdays. The event runs through Oct. 27.

LEDERER GALLERY:  School of the Arts and the Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery in Brodie Hall, present "Inspired by Her," a two-woman show featuring the work of Dawn Hunter Phelps and Kate Kretz and inspired by the physical and psychological states of women.  The gallery is open noon-4 p.m. Sundays–Wednesdays and 5-8 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays.  The exhibit runs through Sunday, Nov. 19.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27:

SPORTS:  Men's hockey vs. Neumann.  7 p.m. at Wilson Ice Arena at Merritt Athletic Center. Students free with ID card, adults $6 and children $4.

LEDERER GALLERY:  (See Thursday, October 26).

ENSEMBLE:  The School of the Arts presents the Geneseo Wind and Jazz Ensembles, Jonathan Kruger, Director.  8 p.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium.  The event is free and open to the public.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28:

LEDERER GALLERY:  (See Thursday, October 26).

SPORTS:  Women's soccer vs. St. John Fisher. 1 p.m. at Saratoga Field.  Free and open to the public.

SPORTS:  Women's field hockey vs. Morrisville.  1 p.m. at Upper Merritt.  Free and open to the public.

SPORTS:  Men's hockey vs. Neumann.  7 p.m. at Wilson Ice Arena in Merritt Athletic Center. Students free with ID card, adults $6 and children $4.

SPORTS:  Men's and women's swimming hosts the Geneseo Invitational.  1 p.m. in Merritt Athletic Center.

MUSCIAL:  "Urinetown" by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis, directed and choreographed by Melanie Blood, musical director Jack Johnston.  8 p.m., Alice Austin Theatre in Brodie Hall. The musical runs through Sunday, Nov. 5.  Sundays performance is at 2 p.m.  Admission: General public $7, Faculty/Staff/Seniors $6, and Students $5.  Ticket may be purchased on the Web at bbo.geneseo.edu, at the Student Union (245-5873) until dates of performance, then in Brodie Box Office (245-5833).
