SUNY Geneseo Finance and Administration Division has named Tracy Marshall as the college’s new assistant vice president for administration and controller. She will begin her new position in mid-August.

Marshall comes to the College after serving for four years as the school business administrator for Phelps-Clifton Springs School District where she led, directed and supervised all financial operations for the district. She implemented strategic planning, managed multi-million dollar budgets, and prepared state aid and other compliance reports. Marshall collaborated with fiscal agents on debt services and investments and managed support operations; facilities, transportation, and school food services.

Before Clifton Springs, Marshall served for seven years as the school business administrator for Geneseo Central School District. In this role, she was responsible for development and administration of the school budget, administration of payroll and benefits, including supporting the related compliance, treasurer, purchasing agent, tax warrants, internal and external audit regulations, and financial statement presentation. She has breadth in the supervision of fiscal teams.

“I look forward to Tracy joining the SUNY Geneseo’s Finance and Administration leadership team,” said Julie Buehler, vice president of Finance and Administration. "I expect her collaborative style, experience in New York State education environments compliance and risk management, and her depth of knowledge in complex financials and audits will prove helpful on our campus. I look forward to working with Tracy as she assumes this significant role at such a key time, as our campus enters its 150th year."
