Geneseo Symphony Orchestra Feb. 23: Tchaikovsky and Beethoven

Professor and Music Department Chair Jonathan Gonder is the piano soloist for the Feb. 23 Geneseo Symphony Orchestra concert.

GENESEO, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo Symphony Orchestra will perform under the direction of Department of Music faculty member Jim Tiller Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. in the Wadsworth Auditorium with works by Tchaikovsky and Beethoven. The concert will feature piano soloist Jonathan Gonder, professor and chair of the Department of Music. The event is free and open to the public.

The orchestra will present Tchaikovsky’s “Marche Slave,” Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet,” and Beethoven’s “Piano Concerto No. 3.” 

The Geneseo Symphony Orchestra is a collaboration among wind, percussion and string players from the faculty and gifted student performers.
