Welcome Back - Fall 2020 Updates

Dining Services
Pay-one-price Updates

  • We are now offering take-out at our pay-one-price locations. When you're paying, let the cashier know that you would like the take-out option, and you will receive a box and a cup for a beverage.
  • Food Studio North will feature an à la carte dining option available for breakfast and lunch before regular dinner hours.
  • Both pay-one-price restaurants will be full-service, meaning food will be served to you by our team to minimize contact.
  • Each of our locations features different promos and specials throughout the year

Uncle Vito's Delivery
We've expanded our menu and hours of operation to bring food to you anywhere on campus, with no delivery fees and no tipping. When your order arrives at your location, the driver will give you a call. You will then need to walk down to the building's dock area and retrieve your order from the back of the Uncle Vito's vehicle for easy, contactless pickup. Visit http://bit.ly/CASOnlineOrdering to place an order today!

1871 Café
Coming to Fraser this fall, the 1871 Café. Established in 1871, SUNY Geneseo has always been known for its exceptional education, staff, and atmosphere, so it's no surprise that our new dining location lives up to that same set of standards. Get your morning coffees, teas, and treats from our space in Fraser Hall.

Starbucks Renovation
We are excited to announce that our plans to move forward with the Starbucks remodel are underway. In order to better serve and keep up with an increased demand for Starbucks products, the location will move into what was Fusion Market with a complete renovation. The expansion will allow for additional spacing needs for our staff to serve our customers better and allow for additional product offerings and seating. This expansion will enable us to keep up with the growing demand for Starbucks and allow for Fusion Market's diverse offerings to be dispersed throughout campus while adding another concept to the Union.

The project is expected to be completed in the Winter of 2020. Stay tuned for more updates and information as the process unfolds.

Other Dining Updates

  • While Fusion Market may be closed, your favorite dishes are still on campus! Head to Mary Jemison to find your favorite items from Clio's at the deli, and our Lotus and Asada stations!
  • Our chefs have created a variety of different grab-and-go options to make dining with us a breeze. Stop by Max Market, Mary Jemison, or Jacks to pick up a meal or two that can be brought back to your dorm for a leisurely breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Big Tree Inn
After careful consideration, due to factors related to the pandemic and continued financial losses, we have made the very difficult decision to temporarily suspend restaurant and tavern operations at the Big Tree Inn at the close of August 22nd, extending through the remainder of 2020. This remains a fluid situation, and circumstances may change; we will closely monitor factors that would permit a full return to operations, including guidance from the Governor.

The hotel will remain operational, we will continue to host events, and we will be happy to discuss how we can provide catering services to you. Please be assured that existing reservations will be honored, and new reservations are welcome.

Please contact Jonna Anne at annej@geneseo.edu or Erin Geiger at geigere@geneseo.edu or 585-243-5220 with any questions you may have concerning this announcement. We appreciate your understanding during this challenging time, and we look forward to reopening and serving you in our restaurant and tavern again soon!

Support Services
To protect our customers and employees' safety, CAS will be adjusting our office hours to by appointment only. Customers can call us at 585-245-5648 to set up an appointment time for any needs, including ID cards or other paperwork. We will return all calls within one business day. All departmental transactions will be addressed by appointment as well. CAS will be reaching out to departments to determine the best process for continued service. For any urgent needs, please email us at cas@geneseo.edu or call us at 585-245-5648. For any human resource needs, please email us at cashr@geneseo.edu or call us at 585-245-5021.

Television Services
CAS will be working with our service provider to upgrade our cable television service to HD quality on 80 channels. We are excited to announce that it will also be possible to live-stream 72 of those channels after the upgrade. This means you do not have to have a TV to watch your favorite shows, and anyone connected to the campus network will be able to use the new service! Because of the upgrade, there will be a television service interruption on Tuesday, September 22nd starting at 8:00 a.m. that may last through the 23rd. If you plan to use your TV still, you will need to rescan your television to receive the new lineup after the upgrades have been made. Unfortunately, HBO is not available to us as part of this upgrade. We regret any inconvenience, and appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation!

Transportation Services
All RTS bus drivers are taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Each guest, along with the driver, must wear masks while on the bus, and seating has been marked indicating where people can sit. The driver cleans in between each ride to ensure optimal safety. The RTS bus is currently running at 50% capacity, so be aware of that when planning your ride.

Starbucks Expansion

We are excited to announce that plans to move forward with the Starbucks remodel are underway!

In order to better serve, and keep up with an increased demand for Starbucks products, the location will move into what is now Fusion Market with a complete renovation. By adding this new concept to the Union, we are expanding the space for our staff to serve customers better and increase product offerings and seating. The new space enables us to keep up with the growing demand for Starbucks while continuing to serve the diverse offerings of Fusion Market by integrating these into Mary Jemison's selections, and dispersing them throughout campus.

The expansion will allow for additional spacing needs for our staff to serve our customers better and allow for additional product offerings and seating. This expansion will enable us to keep up with the growing demand for Starbucks and allow for Fusion Market’s diverse offerings to be dispersed throughout campus, all while adding another concept to the Union.

The project is expected to be completed in the Winter of 2020. Stay tuned for more updates and information as the process unfolds.
