New Student Checklist
Welcome to Geneseo! This checklist will help you prepare for the start of your Geneseo journey.

Log into myGeneseo with your Geneseo username and password to complete the following account setup tasks: ⬜ Affirm the Code of Conduct |
| ⬜ Final official college transcripts must be received and course registration survey completed (check your Geneseo email for a link to the survey and instructions). |
| ⬜ Complete your housing application in the Symplicity housing system. See housing options. |
| ⬜ If you have not done so already, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Please note, if you plan on borrowing Federal Student Loan or a Federal Parent Loan, you must still complete the FAFSA (School Code: 002845). |
| ⬜ Update NYS TAP application (To ensure that your TAP Award will be sent to Geneseo, enter the School Code: 0920) |
| ⬜ Review your financial aid awards using the Financial Aid Dashboard in myGeneseo. Further information on how to accept and finalize your financial aid will be sent in late May/ early June. |
| ⬜ For eligible students, complete the Excelsior application (available date coming soon) and submit contract |

Complete the following billing tasks: ⬜ Setup authorized payer for parent/family access to student account billing |
| ⬜ Complete the fire training and hazing prevention modules (online, check your email). |
| ⬜ Review the laptop requirement and set up your mobile devices and campus technology with Geneseo apps and access. |
| ⬜ Submit a photo for your ID card before you arrive (look for an email from cas@geneseo.edu with a unique link). |
| ⬜ Download the Navigate Student App and explore Geneseo’s resources. |
| ⬜ Review the Geneseo Update publication which includes laws, policies, and reports. |
