While many Geneseo PreMed/PreHealth students choose to major in Biology, it is not a requirement. Students are encouraged to select a major of study that is consistent with their interests. PreMed/PreHealth students typically major in: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Psychology, Neuroscience (students apply to this major after their first year at Geneseo), and Sociology. By completing the prerequisite courses for professional school, students are building a rigorous science-based foundation that will prepare them for professional and graduate schools.

To schedule a general campus tour and/or sign-up for one of the Biology admission sessions, please contact the Admissions Office or visit their website. These sessions are ideal for students interested in the PreMed/PreHealth tracks. The sessions are offered most Fridays during the fall and spring semesters. We strongly encourage students to attend with specific questions in mind.
