Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures. 

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Marketing Club at Geneseo

The Marketing Club at Geneseo is committed to empowering students to build successful careers in marketing by providing them with projects, agency visits, networking opportunities, and presentations from marketing professionals. In the Fall of 2019, we hope to become an official American Marketing Association (AMA) Chapter. As an AMA chapter, we can participate in more events including conferences and case competitions.

Peace Action Geneseo

Peace Action advocates for a foreign policy that embodies our best values. By mobilizing diverse constituencies through grassroots action, we work to: \n- Achieve a world free of nuclear weapons in the future while stopping the development, testing, spread and use of those weapons today; \n- Promote resolution of international conflicts through cooperation and diplomacy; \n- Advance national spending priorities that meet the nation’s real security and domestic needs; \n- Protect human rights around the world by controlling the global trade in lethal weapons; \n- Ensure no one is denied the opportunity to participate in making decisions that affect the common good.

Partners in Health Engage

Partners in Health Engage is the collegiate level of the national organization "Partners in Health". We are very active on campus promoting equal opportunities for the access of healthcare no matter one's race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. One of our main events during the school year is Songs in Solidarity held in the spring semester where all proceeds are donated towards a cause. Previous years we have raised money for mothers in Lesotho and tuberculosis. Involvement in this organization is great if you are interested in pursuing public health, international relations, social justice, women's health, etc. We have engaging discussions during each meeting and learn about various public health issues that PIH helps tackle.

Geneseo Circus Club

Circus Club is a group of circus enthusiasts, flow artists, and jugglers, working together to learn, teach, and appreciate our circus-adjacent talents. Circus Club is open to all people of all skill levels, and any person with interest is welcome to lead tutorials for a prop. We aspire to give our fellow students opportunities to pick up new hobbies and find inspiration, and to introduce them to the wider, regional and national communities of jugglers and flow artists.

Psi Chi: The National Honor Society in Psychology

Psi Chi is a national honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.The mission of Psi Chi is to produce a well-educated, ethical, and socially responsible member committed to contributing to the science and profession of psychology and to society in general.

SUNY Geneseo Physics Club

The purpose of this club is to bring members of the Geneseo physics community together and to enrich the recognition of physics in everyday life. Events such as bi-annual picnics, and Collisions Night will be planned. As well as the distribution of Physics club apparel. Meetings will include general physics current events, occasional special guests, and will partner with stem clubs in collaborations.

Women's Ice Hockey Club at Geneseo

Geneseo's Woman's Ice Hockey Team consists of previously experienced ice hockey athletes along with new members who are committed to learning the techniques of this sport. The purpose of this team is to encourage all participants to improving their skills of ice hockey and to create a safe but fun environment. The team practices twice a week and competes in 12 to 14 games per season.

Men's Club Volleyball

The purpose of this club is to learn, teach and play volleyball in an organized matter. In addition, it will also participate in tournaments at other nearby colleges.

English Club at Geneseo

The purpose of English Club is to give students the opportunity to meet others in their field of study with common interests, and to form a supportive community centered around those interests. The Club will also be a vehicle for students to voice their opinions, complaints, and suggestions to the English Department concerning Department policies, objectives, and curriculum. The Club will also offer academic activities to enhance the students’ studies and provide an outlet for their creative abilities.

Habitat for Humanity

Volunteer opportunity for student to help families in need. Families in need of a decent place to live build safe and affordable homes in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
