Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Knightline Dance Team

Knightline's purpose is to entertain and perform at sporting events as well as to provide a welcoming, positive, and safe environment to our team members in order to build strong relationships and to grow together as a team. Along with performances, we perform at other organizations benefits and Relay for Life, host a Relay for Life benefit to help raise money for the American Cancer Society, and participate in/ host our own fundraisers. Routines are choreographed by team captains, and the team is advised by Jody Deloria, an adjunct professor in the dance department here at Geneseo. Optometry Club

Optometry Club’s members learn to reduce barriers to care by serving as advocates for community members. Students will educate community members about the importance of receiving regular eye exams to improve overall eye health. Members provide free vision screenings to community members each semester as time permits. While performing a vision screening, members must indicate that they are student volunteers, and that the screening just gives an estimate of the community member’s visual acuity (it is not an eye exam). Members of Optometry Club should encourage the community members present at the screening to see an eye care professional for a complete eye exam. Optometry Club will also fundraise for various eye care organizations and hold a used eyeglass drive.

Phi Kappa Pi

"We, members of the Alpha Clionian Fraternity, do solemnly affirm that we will maintain an unfaltering allegiance to this constitution and we will further strive to maintain its moral, social, and fraternal obligations, and constantly endeavor to improve ourselves and our fraternity." We strive to make it easier each year for our members to access the help they need from one another to focus on our academics, and get any help we need with them. Each semester we also do a variety of donations to different fundraiser around campus, or to different people. For example, in the past we have individually donated to a Fraternity Brother's older brother's memorial page, as well as a Go-Fund-Me account set up for my own nephew battling Pediatric Brain Cancer, we well as things like Crows Deep Freeze, or anything else around campus. Along with that, each December we host a Christmas Party for children of Migrant Families at the IFC with our fraternity brothers, Delta Kappa Tau, inviting the children to spend the morning with us for activities, lunch, as well as gifts they may not otherwise receive.

Pre-Veterinary Club

The Vet club allows students an outlet to learn and expand outside of the classroom. With limited available resources on campus, the club allows students ways to gain experience and knowledge by connecting students with experts in Geneseo and the surrounding community. These include connections to nearby farms where students may gain professional relationships and experiences in the veterinary field, connections to small animal practices in Monroe and Livingston County, and other methods of connecting to animals in the real world. The club contributes in giving back to the community through multiple volunteer activities such as club run fundraisers and assisting with organizational benefits such as Barktoberfest at Lollypop farm.

Running Club

The purpose of Geneseo Running Club is to provide a supportive environment for runners of all levels to meet and run together to promote stronger physical and mental health. Various fundraisers will be held throughout the year, to raise money for any club-related costs or to donate to charity. Members will have the option to compete in local 5k road races throughout the semester.

Gospel Choir at Geneseo

We hold fundraisers including our well-known "It's Your Day" Valentine's Day Fundraisers. These are help to promote and spread positivity through our music and fund our organization.

Biochemistry Club

To promote unity amongst biochemistry students and to further enrich our passion for biochemistry and science as a whole. The club will plan events and trips for members to attend, discuss lectures that may be attended, and will hold fundraisers and recruitment drives to promote these events. Biochemistry Club will reach out to the community to further awareness and interest in the field of biochemistry.
