Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Alpha Omega Pi

AOPi is a local sorority that was founded in 1985. We are an extremely tight-knit group that is very unique in our own ways. Each sister makes their own mark in AOPi as we are always trying to better ourselves as sisters. AOPi is a place of leadership and encourages girls to get involved and share their passions with the rest of the sorority through those positions of leadership. While we do have an annual philanthropic event, “Making Strides”, a breast cancer awareness walk in Rochester, we are always listening to our sister’s ideas about different organizations to support. We pride ourselves on our ability to lend a helping hand to any sister in need or to any charity our sisters are passionate about. We are located at 7 University and have one of the coolest houses on campus.

Geneseo Campus Activities Board

The purpose of the Geneseo Campus Activities Board (GCAB) of the Undergraduate Student Association at the State University of New York at Geneseo (hereinafter referred to as Student Association or SA) is to provide quality programming for students, faculty, staff, and guests of SUNY Geneseo, as well as the surrounding community.GCAB will function as a teaching presence on campus, to educate the General Membership in the process of programming successful events including, but not limited to: publicity, budget management, contract logistics, and effective delegation of duties. GCAB, as a standing committee of the Undergraduate Student Association, will seek to most effectively use the budget allocated to it by SA.

Alpha Kappa Phi

Alpha Kappa Phi was established in 1885 as the Alpha Chapter of the Agonian Sorority. We strive to uphold our core values through sisterhood, create life-long friendships, and prioritize scholarship. One of our mission statements reads "One step at a time, but always forward", we implement this by always encouraging sisters to be the best version of themselves. Our purpose shall also be to fundraise for charities we deem necessary to strengthen our relationships within the community. Our main charity event is our annual haunted house that occurs in October. All proceeds are donated to Bivona Child Advocacy Center located in Rochester, New York. We use our sorority house to transform it into walk-though haunted house and welcome the Geneseo community to attend our event.

Omega Beta Psi

We, the students of the State University of New York at Geneseo, with the desire to develop the spirit of enduring brotherhood and democracy; to encourage participation in educational, social, and athletic activities; to maintain the high standards of scholarship and integrity, to secure the benefits of a close organization; hereby establish Omega Beta Psi, and enact these by-laws.

Sigma Nu Chi

The purpose of this chapter of the Fraternal Order of Sigma Nu Chi, Alpha Chapter, is to establish and maintain the principles of Love, Truth, Honor, Pride, Respect and Responsibility. The Chapter exists first, to promote brotherhood, to serve the community of Geneseo as upstanding citizens, to be viewed respectably by the college administration and provide an alternative to other Greek letter organizations at SUNY Geneseo. The brothers will always strive to be the best men they can and work together for the common good of the chapter. The valuable lessons learned at Alpha Chapter shall positively affect the brothers of the rest of their lives.
