Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Beekeeping at Geneseo

This club allows members to get hands on experience beekeeping. We have several hives on campus, so members will see the inside of hives, treat for mites, extract honey, and do other hive maintenance. We also do events to learn about and support native pollinators. At meetings, our goal is to further our knowledge of bees and the practice of beekeeping.

Wrestling Club

The purpose of this club is to promote folkstyle wrestling, competitive and casual, by holding practices and attending competitions while maintaining a safe and sportsmanlike environment. We try to practice approximately 3 times per week, and will seek out scrimmages and competitions based on the ability and intent of our members

MiNT Magazine

MiNT is a student-run magazine that publishes student written work and art in print as well as online. MiNT accepts and reviews submissions of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, opinion pieces and works of criticism created by the students of Geneseo. Our mission is to create a literary magazine for students, run by students. MiNT looks for submissions that highlight the voices of our diverse student body and express the different cultural, spiritual, and artistic backgrounds you can find on campus. We publish work that is engaging on both a personal and societal level. We are looking to be not just a literary voice, but a place where students can voice their opinions as well as their experiences.

Geneseo Club Soccer

We participate in the club soccer league that plays competitive matches against other colleges across NYS in the fall. We also practice multiple times a week during the fall and hold some sessions in the gym during the winter.

Sisters Making A Change

Sisters Making a Change is a sisterhood that encourages the intellectual, physical, social, and philanthropic development of its members, as well as to be an influential presence in the Geneseo community. We host a number of events throughout the year dedicated to giving back to charities and those in need in our area.

Pre-Veterinary Club

The Vet club allows students an outlet to learn and expand outside of the classroom. With limited available resources on campus, the club allows students ways to gain experience and knowledge by connecting students with experts in Geneseo and the surrounding community. These include connections to nearby farms where students may gain professional relationships and experiences in the veterinary field, connections to small animal practices in Monroe and Livingston County, and other methods of connecting to animals in the real world. The club contributes in giving back to the community through multiple volunteer activities such as club run fundraisers and assisting with organizational benefits such as Barktoberfest at Lollypop farm.

English Immersion Group

EIG hosts weekly meetings that initiate cross-cultural discussion and provide opportunities for English Language Learners to practice speaking skills. Through presentations, games, and group discussions members exchange ideas and learn about American society and culture as well as other cultures. When possible, collaborative events with other cultural clubs and/or larger events hosted by the club are meant to increase connections within the group and with the larger camus community.
