Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Knightline Dance Team

Knightline is the official dance team at SUNY Geneseo. We perform fast paced routines that incorporate a kickline at Men's and Women's home basketball, hockey, and soccer games. We also perform at various events on campus such as Relay for Life. We are well networked with other campus organizations and are a close knit group that have formed an unbreakable bond. Routines are choreographed by the team captains and the team is advised by Jody DeLoria, an adjunct professor in the dance department. We hold auditions every fall semester.

Stitches Knitting and Crocheting

Stitches is a club for people of all skill types. We teach everyone and welcome everyone. We have fun and talk about anything we can think of. We normally do an annual fundraiser for a local cat shelter. We also participate in relay for life and makers fest and do other volunteer work that we can. We hope to help people destress while knitting or crocheting and we hop to help people learn a new skil.

Phi Lambda Chi

Maintain individuality while working together. Promote harmony among all of the fraternal groups. Promote fellowship, scholarship and cooperation within the school. Promote citizenship on the campus and in the community. Promote sincerity and loyalty toward our sisters and our school. Uphold our Constitution and that of the Inter-Greek Council.

Phi Kappa Pi

Clio was founded in 1872 and is Geneseo's oldest sorority. Our colors are gold and white and our flower is the beautiful daisy. As a tight-knit a loyal organization, we uphold our long-standing traditions with pride. Clios are more than sorority sisters. We're a family of best friends celebrating, doing charity, and sharing a bond that exists beyond the college years.

Crew Club

Rowing programs are a quintessential aspect of the nation's most prestigious colleges and universities. Founded in 1990 by former professor Dr. John B. Hoey, our program has grown considerably in size and competitive nature. Throughout the campus and local community, Geneseo crew is recognized for its disciplined athletes, philanthropy, and as its community of tight-knit students. Athletes who row as a part of Geneseo Crew develop beneficial life skills and habits which often lead students to academic success and life fulfillment. Our program consists of two teams, both Men and Women, whom are comprised of a novice and varsity team. Throughout our fall and spring competitive seasons, we compete in regattas from Canada to Pennsylvania. Our club has the opportunity to race against a multitude of other collegiate teams, both larger and smaller than our own. Geneseo Crew takes pride in our ability to rise to the challenge of competing at such a high level at these regattas. Our athletes consistently improve physically and technically as a result of their hard work and determination. Our team welcomes all levels of experience! For more information about practice times, expectations, or if you would like to join the team, contact us at our email.

Alpha Omega Pi

AOPi is a local sorority that was founded in 1985. We are an extremely tight-knit group that is very unique in our own ways. Each sister makes their own mark in AOPi as we are always trying to better ourselves as sisters. AOPi is a place of leadership and encourages girls to get involved and share their passions with the rest of the sorority through those positions of leadership. While we do have an annual philanthropic event, “Making Strides”, a breast cancer awareness walk in Rochester, we are always listening to our sister’s ideas about different organizations to support. We pride ourselves on our ability to lend a helping hand to any sister in need or to any charity our sisters are passionate about. We are located at 7 University and have one of the coolest houses on campus.

Omega Beta Psi

We, the students of the State University of New York at Geneseo, with the desire to develop the spirit of enduring brotherhood and democracy; to encourage participation in educational, social, and athletic activities; to maintain the high standards of scholarship and integrity, to secure the benefits of a close organization; hereby establish Omega Beta Psi, and enact these by-laws.
