Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!
With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.
A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.
Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.
Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Alpha Sigma TauAST is one of Geneseo's national sororities and has been on campus since 2013. Our motto is defining excellence and our mission is to empower women to excel in life!

Best BuddiesBest Buddies International is an American nonprofit 501 organization. It consists of volunteers that create opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Bringing International Diversity To Geneseo Environment(BRIDGE)Bringing International Diversity to Geneseo Environment assists international students in adapting to Geneseo by creating a student-to-student interaction and connections between international students and domestic students to promote cultural diversity.

Circle K InternationalOur mission is to better the world and to foster a community of leaders who will continue to make a positive impact on the world throughout their lifetime. We participate in a variety of events such as the annual Kiwanis Caregiver Luncheon to thank caregivers in the area, the annual Amy's Walk and Theresa Walk, and the Kiwanis Halloween Parade on Main Street in Geneseo. We also have assisted in the maintenance of Oakwood Cemetery, collected donations for Comfort Cases, ran Bingo at a local Senior Living Center, participated in Adopt a Highway, and much more. We are always looking for new ways to get involved in the community and make the most of our free time.

Club BasketballThe SUNY Geneseo Club Basketball team participates in the NCBBA (National Club Basketball Association), playing within an organized competitive basketball conference with club teams from other nearby colleges. The Club also organizes pickup basketball opportunities on campus.

College DemocratsOutside of meetings, we work very closely with local, statewide, and national politicians to help them with their campaigns. We also have hosted many Geneseo Late Knight events on our own as well as in conjunction with several other politically oriented groups on campus. Members also have attended New York College Democrat conferences and conventions. Each year, members of the Geneseo College Democrats participate in a formal debate with the Geneseo College Republicans.

Delta Phi EpsilonDelta Phi Epsilon is an international social sorority founded in 1917 on the principles of justice, sisterhood, and love. DPhiE is welcome to all as our international governing board instituted a policy that welcomes transgender and non-binary members and celebrates the diversity of our chapter. Aside from social events, we also participate in fundraising for our philanthropies, participating in community service, and hosting different events with other campus organizations. Our motto is esse quam videri, which means to be rather than to seem to be. Delta Phi Epsilon celebrates the authenticity and uniqueness of each individual in our chapter, and encourages its members to be their true selves. As a sorority, we are committed to using our platform to speak out against injustices that directly and indirectly affect our members and their communities.

Exit 8 AcapellaExit 8 is Geneseo’s first all gender acapella group, performing at Geneseo’s all-acapella concerts, invitationals, festivals, the ICCA’s (International Championship of Collegiate Acapella), and more. Exit 8 is focused on bringing people together over their love of music! We perform a wide variety of musical genres and strive to create a welcoming environment for all students!

Geneseo Panhellenic ConferenceThe object of the Panhellenic Association shall be to develop and maintain women's fraternity and women's sorority life and inter-fraternity relations at a high level of accomplishment, and in doing so to: 1. Consider the goals and ideals of member groups as continually applicable to campus and personal life. 2. Promote superior scholarship as basic to intellectual achievement. 3. Cooperate with member fraternities and the College administration in the maintenance of high social standards. 4. Act in accordance with National Panhellenic Conference Unanimous Agreements and policies. 5. Act in accordance with such rules established by Panhellenic Council as to not violate the sovereignty, rights and privileges of member fraternities.

Golden Key International Honour SocietyThe Golden Key National Honour Society was founded in 1977 at Georgia State University, and the SUNY Geneseo chapter was chartered in 1994. The purpose of the society is to provide a forum for recognizing all exceptional students, regardless of their major or their level of involvement in campus activities. The SUNY Geneseo chapter extends invitations for membership each January to the top 15% of juniors and seniors (students with more than 60 credits). There are many benefits to membership in Golden Key. Newly inducted members pay a one-time membership fee, and are then entitled to participate in all Golden Key activities. In addition to being a resume builder, Golden Key membership offers chances at valuable leadership opportunities; chances to publish creative work in the society magazine, Concepts; and access to a wide network of advisors, alumni, and honorary members. Golden Key members receive access to Golden Key's Online Career Library, discounts to Kaplan Test Courses, and access to numerous national scholarship opportunities in all areas of academic and creative work. SUNY Geneseo's Golden Key chapter annually presents two scholarships: one to an outstanding new inductee, and one to an outstanding active member. Finally, the national organization also awards research grants and study abroad scholarships to qualified members. Our chapter focuses on providing academic service in the community of Geneseo and in the greater Livingston county. We do this by running registration workshops for freshman in the fall, reading to or with nearby elementary students, and supporting higher education in local high schools. We also participate in non-academically focused service activities, like Make-A-Difference Day, the Day of Caring, fundraising for the Livingston County Cares project, and Adopt-A-Family. We are a non-SA funded organization with a great deal of flexibility and resources. Our activities depend on the perceived needs of the community. If you are a student with less than 60 credits, please make Golden Key membership a goal to strive for in the future!

Her Campus at GeneseoThe club's purpose is to provide a platform for the young women (though not exclusive to women) of our campus to share their voices with a wider audience. Her Campus writers will have the opportunity to enrich their college experience by interacting with other successful college-age women whilst publishing their writing on a national website. We allow anyone to publish articles on topics that matter to them and host weekly meetings where all voices can be heard.

International Relations ClubInternational Relations Club was created to promote and increase awareness of issues concerning International Relations as well as encourage more students’ involvement in these topics. We also wish to create a network of students majoring, minoring or with an interest in International Relations. In order to successfully fulfill the above goals, the IR club will undertake in regular meetings, semester interest meetings (1 Fall and 1 Spring) per yr, and trips to meet with alumni in cities such as Washington D.C and New York City. In alignment with a scholarly environment SUNY Geneseo’s chapter of International Relations will educate the community with current events specifically those related to international relations. In alignment with inclusivity SUNY Geneseo’s chapter of International Relations will work closely with any individual pursuant that they have an interest in the international community.

International Youth and Students for Social EqualityYoung people, including students, face a dangerous future. The fraudulent economic "recovery" is worsening for the vast majority of the population. Imperialist war, even a nuclear World War III, looms around the corner. Climate change threatens the entire planet. These threats and others demonstrate that capitalism is a system in crisis, incapable of creating a decent future for youth, students, and workers everywhere. The SUNY Geneseo chapter of the International Youth and Students for Social Equality seeks to mobilize students and young workers in the struggle for the only viable alternative to capitalism: socialism. The IYSSE is dedicated to the defense of democratic rights, opposition to war, and the arming of students, youth, and workers with a socialist perspective. To do so, we hold weekly meetings to engage students and workers and orient members toward the working class. All interested people are welcome to attend meetings, regardless of major or enrollment status.

Minority Association for PreHealth StudentsThe Minority Association for PreHealth Students is a subchapter of the Student National Medical Association.
